Join us on this guided musical journey, aptly presented in the stunning surroundings of Low Parks Museum’s 18th Century Assembly Room where apocryphal tales suggest Frederic Chopin once played.

Hear the story which beganin 1848 and has rested dormant for two centuries, until now. Learn the little-known legacy of Jane Stirling, the pupil, friend, and benefactor of one of the world’s most beloved composers. Hear of her friendship and support without which, Chopin’s legacy would not have endured as it has. Become acquainted with the Scotswoman whose support and devotion sustained Chopin in his later years and preserved his legacy after his death.

This is a unique opportunity to experience a variety of the Great Romantic’s compositions, performed by the inimitable Anna Dębowska. Marcin Jaroszek provides context with video and photographic material as well as extracts from Chopin’s letters in a fascinating exploration of the composer’s Caledonian connections.
